Life is the very thing that distracts you from figuring out its meaning

…and now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
One of the things I find so interesting about living on this planet is how consumed its inhabitants become with their daily grind. I mean think about it: Problems with money, where to go for dinner, who’s dating who, a new iPhone release, some foreign war… all of these things go through our minds obscuring the one thought that is buried very deeply within…
You really have no idea what the hell is going on.
You don’t. And what’s more, you don’t want to think about it. Not to be trite, commercial, or cliche, but…what is the meaning of life?
Why are we here? What is the greater plan? Is there even one? I like to think that the point of life itself is to figure out…life. Along this journey of discovery, life will throw itself at you in every imaginable way to steer you off course. But you mustn’t waver. And no one can tell you the answer. And don’t listen to anyone if they do. That’s the trick.
The point of the game is: You have to figure it out for yourself.
This is not a team sport. It is also not a competition. Try not to be so fully distracted by life. Every now and then take some time out and put some more pieces into the jigsaw puzzle.
